Islamic International Conference 3 - 5 NOVEMBER 2000 Falah Foundation-Pakistan Under the auspices of Lahore Islamic University, Lahore The Islamic International Conference held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, Pakistan from 3rd to 5th November 2000 adopts the following resolutions: 1. Faith, Unity and Discipline should be adopted as a motto for the Islamic Ummah. 2. OIC should be restructured and strengthened to function effectively through its institutions with a view to promote and serve the vital interests of Muslims and thus to achieve unification of Ummah. 3. New institutions like, Majlis-e-Shora, Defence ad Security Council, Islamic International Court of Justice, Ombudsman, Laws reforming Council, Council of Trade and Commerce, Foreign Affairs Council, Bait-ul-Mall (Islamic Monetary Fund), Disaster Management Committee and Health and Education Committees should be established under the auspices of OIC. 4. Strategy should be planned to motivate the International opinion for having a permanent seat in the Security Council of UNO for the Muslim Ummah. 5. Ummah must condemn human rights violation, atrocities and brutalities being inflicted upon the Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine, Bosnia, Cyprus, Chechnya, Kosovo, Philippines, Burma and Eritrea. Concrete efforts and practical measures, including cessation of trade relations with the countries aiding the countries perpetuating brutalities, be taken to resolve the long outstanding grievances of these innocent Muslims and realize their right to freedom according to their wishes. 6. Disputes or conflicts existing or arising amongst the Muslim countries (including the issue of the prisoners of Kuwait and Afghanistan with their respective rivals) be resolved through arbitration, mutual negotiations or reference to the Islamic International court of Justice. 7. Measures should be adopted to facilitate free movement of people of Islamic countries.
